Description:

When the theatre initially opened it was the Macon's hotspot for the African-American community and has hosted some of the greatest musical performers of the 20th century, including Otis Redding, Ray Charles, and Ma Rainey. Located in the heart of downtown, the theatre is adjacent to Central City Park. Today the historic theatre is a multi-faceted facility and shows movies, local plays, concerts, and hosts a children's summer camp.
