The 49,000 square foot Tubman African American Museum is dedicated to educating visitors about African American art, history, and culture. The museum is located just west of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Central City Park. The museum features two large historical galleries portraying the African American experience from 1619 to the present. It is also host to the annual week-long Pan African Festival, which promotes and shares the African-American heritage with other cultures.
