This National Historic Monument was constructed in 1855 in the Italian Renaissance style. The house is located adjacent to the Ocmulgee River, just North of Central City Park. The Hay House is an 18,000-square-foot mansion that featured a number of incredible technological marvels when it was built, including central heating and a speaker tube system.
